Under Rewa division, 04 districts include Rewa, Satna, Sidhi and Singrauli respectively. The total rural population of the Rewa division is 57,07,286 and the urban population is 11,89,724. Urban drinking water arrangements are done through local bodies. For rural drinking water system, two Division are established in Rewa district, Rewa and Mauganj. There are 89302 hand pumps installed in the division and 1067 rural tap water schemes are installed, out of which 972 are running condition and 95 are closed due to different reasons. Currently hand pump maintenance work is being done through outsourced system. Under the National Rural Drinking Water Program, 94 Mukhyamantri Gramin Nal Jal Yojana are being implemented and implemented in the division, in which tap connection is being given in every house. According to the information received so far, 35246 connections have been given and water supply has been started after completing 50 schemes. The remaining schemes are in progress due to Kovid-19.

The Jal Nigam is implementing surface source based water supply schemes in three Districts of the division, which include 1019 villages of 05 blocks in Satna district and 109 villages of Rewa district and 31 villages of Sidhi district. The remaining Villages to be covered in the proposal of New Grouped Water Supply sched estimated Rs. Rs. 55.20 Crores of District Satna, Sidhi & Rewa.

According to the new guide line of the Government of India, under the Jal Jeevan Mission from April 1, 2020, action plans are being prepared in the direction of providing water to every household through a tap connection from house to house by the year 2024. In the first phase, estimates of retrofitting of partially established rural water supply schemes are being prepared.
